Following El Salto and Baile de Bestias, Jesús Carmona, recently appointed Director of the Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid, concludes his trilogy of shows based on exploration and inner knowledge with this new production.
Súper viviente is based on and inspired by dissociative disorders, mental disorders that involve a lack of continuity between thoughts, memories, environments, actions, and identity.
Using dissociative identity disorder as an excuse, he will explore the change in his sense of self, in his behavior, and especially in his motor function—his strong point as a performer. What would happen if the best dancer of the moment faced different physical and psychological difficulties to discover the limits of what it means to be human?
A show in which scientific research and the support of a team of psychologists will be fundamental to the creation of something that, we know, will go beyond the stage.

JESÚS CARMONA

In 2006, he joined the cast of the Spanish National Ballet, where he rose to the rank of principal dancer and participated as a guest artist in subsequent years.

Among other awards, he has won the Benois de la Danse Prize 2021, the National Dance Prize 2020, the Ojo Crítico RTVE Prize 2019, and two MAX Awards for 'Baile de Bestias' (Dance of Beasts), for best show and best performer in 2022.
