The University of Navarra Museum is an international center of public interest for artistic creation and reflection, with an interdisciplinary, research, teaching, and social focus.

True to this mission and in its quest to better serve society and consolidate its position as a meeting point for art, it incorporates creative and research programs, participatory programs, artistic outreach programs, and educational programs in constant dialogue with social actors into its programming.

As a center of the University, it aligns with the institution's 2025 Strategy, in which sustainability in its three dimensions—environmental, economic, and social—becomes a cross-cutting goal, establishing the need for the resulting projects to be aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of its strategic plan, the Museum offers its services to teaching staff at educational institutions, accompanying them through programs specifically designed for each educational level, as well as collaborative programs that bring together the work of different institutions.

Its agreements with social entities are a cornerstone of the development of programs adapted to functional, intellectual, physical, or social diversity, seeking the full inclusion of all groups.

Major social issues, current social realities, academic research in collaboration with other university departments, and constant contact with young students on campus are all part of the museum's daily work.

Internationally, since its inception, the Museum has established an international policy of partnerships to facilitate access to art and its collection, as well as to serve each year as a host center for future professionals on internships.

Each year, the Museum offers at least six days of free admission:

  • International Tourism Day (September 27)
    Spanish National Day (October 12)
    Navarre Day (December 3)
    Spanish Constitution Day (December 6)
    Museum Anniversary Day (January 22)
    International Museum Day (May 18)

In addition, thanks to its agreement with Pamplona City Council, it offers free admission to residents every Wednesday through the "Art Day for Pamplona" initiative.

The Museum is committed to the environment and energy saving. 80% of its lighting uses LED systems, including all spotlights (850 units) in the exhibition area.

Since its construction, the presence of ramps, elevators, and wide access points facilitates mobility between different spaces. The museum has magnetic induction loops available on request to facilitate hearing for people with cochlear implants or hearing aids.

The institution promotes the use of sustainable means of transport thanks to its strategic location on campus and its pedestrian areas, bicycle parking facilities, and proximity to public transport stops.

Each academic year, the museum provides data on the impact in terms of the number of people who have benefited from each of the actions and projects undertaken, linking them to a specific SDG based on their nature and characteristics. The main SDGs to which the museum contributes are mainly linked to social development and are SDG 11 -sustainable cities and communities-, SDG 4 -quality education-, SDG 10 -reduction of inequalities-, although, due to its transdisciplinary nature and openness to collaboration, its projects also fall under SDG 17 -partnerships for the goals.
