Meeting with Jesús Carmona

 Thursday, September 19
 7:00 p.m.
Price  Free admission with invitation

A few days before the premiere of Super-viviente, Jesús Carmona will share his life and artistic career in conversation with two students from the University of Navarra: Isabel Adalid Albarrán and Adrián Canseco Linares, both 4th-year Audiovisual Communication students.

Jesús Carmona is one of the most brilliant dancers on the current flamenco scene. Born in Badalona in 1985, he began training in flamenco at the age of 7 in a family that had no contact with professional dance. After studying at the Barcelona Theater Institute, he joined several companies and in 2006 he joined the Spanish National Ballet, where he rose to the rank of principal dancer. His desire to create and perform led him to leave the Spanish National Ballet to found his own company. Since this season, he has also been directing the Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid. He has won the most important awards in the world of dance, including the 2019 RTVE Ojo Crítico Award, the 2020 National Dance Award, and the 2021 Benois de la Danse Award.
