The film and dance series is scheduled for January 29, 30, and 31. It will be presented by El País critic Roger Salas. Its goal is to bring university students and the general public closer to the world of dance from two perspectives:
- The human component: Showing the path that a dancer must follow, from when they start at a very young age until they retire. The effort involved in learning, the desire to excel, and the dedication required to have a chance to pursue it professionally.
- Stage production: This involves showing the audience the production process from the moment the piece is conceived until it is performed on stage by professional dancers. The design of the choreography, costumes, set, lighting, rehearsals, etc.
Roger Salas: He has been the dance and ballet critic for the newspaper El País for 28 years, with a brief hiatus when he participated in the adventure of El Globo magazine. He was born in Holguín (Cuba) in 1950 and emigrated to Europe in 1982.
The sessions will take place over three days and will include lectures and documentary screenings.
