Christmas Dance Gala

Nexus Company
MUN Theater
  Saturday, December 27, 7:30 p.m.
  75 min, with intermission

Price  €28, €32, and €34

Aitor Arrieta, Principal Lead of the English National Ballet, Juanjo Carazo, dancer with the Compañía Nacional de Danza, and Daniel Vicandi, former professional dancer and current promoter with Nexus Company, return to Pamplona to present the IV Nexus Company Christmas Dance Gala. The gala once again brings together leading figures from the international scene to offer a show that combines technique, emotion, and stylistic variety.

On this occasion, Eukene Sagues, a dancer from Pamplona and soloist with the Royal Danish Ballet, will be making a special appearance, accompanied by Lázaro Corrales, a promising young dancer from the same company. Together they will perform an excerpt from the neoclassical ballet Bodas de Sangre (Blood Wedding)—choreographed by Eukene—evoking the encounter in the forest between the Moon and the Bride. They will also perform La Sylphide, an essential gem of the romantic repertoire.

This edition joins forces with Sergio Masero and Emily Carrico, former principal dancers with the Atlanta Ballet (USA), who will bring a more classical dimension with Teneo Integrum (a creation by Masero) and Marius Petipa's Satanella, a piece that stands out for its technical virtuosity and elegance.

Álvaro Madrigal and Shani Peretz, guest soloists from the National Dance Company, will be responsible for bringing a more contemporary vision to the Gala. The unmistakable stamp of Spanish dance, always present in the program, will come from Matías López and Déborah Martínez, soloists from the Spanish National Ballet.

Our special guest will be Daniel Ramos, a leading figure in European dance and an award-winning choreographer of great renown, who will perform two of his most famous creations.
