THE EXHIBITION

El Resto(The Rest) is a collective exhibition featuring works by Irma Álvarez-Laviada, Miren Doiz, Esther Gatón, Guillermo Mora, and Wilfredo Prieto. It invites reflection on the creative process and the genesis of artworks by displaying studio leftovers, failed experiments, and collateral effects, rather than final objects intended to be consumed as products. The exhibition highlights the value of preliminary work, research, and the process of trial and error that precede final solutions. In this way,El Restoreveals the hidden areas of artistic production and generates interpretations of the scope and limits of contemporary artistic practice by presenting the process itself as a generator of content.

The exhibition is the selected project from the first Master's in Curatorial Studies program at the University of Navarra Museum, awarded to the best Master's thesis proposal. Its curators are Marina Alonso, Pau Cassany, Sofía Enríquez, and Dailey Fernández.
