THE HIDDEN RESONANCES OF THE MOVING BODIES II

The Hidden Resonances of Moving Bodies II is the second part of a series of works that bring dancers and contemporary classical musicians together on stage, with the aim of exploring the common principles underlying the creation of dance and music.

The piece is a collaboration between Instituto Stocos and Neopercusión, the renowned group of solo percussionists from the Spanish National Orchestra.

The result of this process is a work that proposes an original relationship between both disciplines, focusing on the important role of experience and body awareness in both the performing arts and instrumental performance. This relationship between body and sound is exploited thanks to specific technology that combines motion capture techniques with artificial intelligence models, which enables the transformation of the dancers' body movements into sound and allows percussionists to expand their technique beyond the physical relationship with their instruments.
