ROGER SALAS
Born in Holguín (Cuba) in 1950, he has been the dance and ballet critic for the newspaper El País for 28 years. As a critic and chronicler, he has been an enlightened witness to the most important events in the field worldwide, awarded and recognized by the ballet profession in the most demanding performance forums, from the Venice Biennale to the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg and La Scala in Milan. His lectures have reached the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
In addition to giving lectures in different parts of the world, he is the author of numerous books and articles on dance and ballet.
HONEYMOON (1959)
During their honeymoon trip to Europe, an Australian farmer and his wife meet Antonio, a famous dancer. Antonio, upon learning that Anna was a dancer before she got married, tries to convince her to join his company.
THE LOVERS OF TERUEL
Directed in 1962 by Raymond Rouleau, Los amantes de Teruel (The Lovers of Teruel) is a musical that tells the love story of two young people from Teruel, Isabel de Segura and Juan Martínez de Marcilla.
