MASTERCLASS APRIL 20, 12 PM

Elena Asins reflects on time, on the past transferred to the present in a sculptural exhibition centered on the figure of the menhir. Menhires is a sculptural work composed of 40 lacquered wooden menhirs, measuring 24x24x24, dating from 1995. Asins explained at the time that "this cut follows an imaginary grid in which an extraction is made for the void that covers four parts of a surface and half of the surface behind it." The artist donated this work to the Museum in 2015, and it has been part of the collection ever since.
