KOR'SIA

Kor'sia was founded in 2012 out of a need to communicate through the body, to become visible as creators and performers. Its career has had promising results, participating in international festivals in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Holland, and France.

The company expresses the meaning of its work as follows:

We want to create and express our opinions and emotions and use them to captivate, make people think, and give the audience a fresh and new experience.

In this era of speed, acceleration, and uncertainty, we have been abandoning cultural constructs forged in affection and emotion, which have accompanied and stabilized us throughout time. The reflection of this abandonment in dance has transformed it into an instrument that is increasingly seen as a mere technical, virtuoso, and image-based product.

We believe that this chosen path leads us toward the loss of the true meaning of the movement arts, which in our opinion is nothing more and nothing less than the transmission of the cultural meanings that construct us as human beings, using the body as a fundamental tool.

That is why we want to consider in our creative process the reconstruction of the essential connections we find between body, mind, emotion, movement, and cultural meaning, retracing some lost paths.
