Meeting-concert with Antonio Baciero
The Museum pays tribute to Antonio Baciero, renowned pianist, organist, and researcher, in an event featuring historian Javier Burrieza, chapel master of Pamplona Cathedral Aurelio Sagaseta, and journalist and cultural manager Alberto González Lapuente. In the second part, Baciero will perform works by Chopin, Wagner, and Liszt on the piano.

ANTONIO BACIERO
Antonio Baciero (Aranda de Duero, 1936) is a pianist, organist, and researcher. He gave his first concert at the age of ten in Pamplona, and at 18 he completed his piano studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid with an Extraordinary Prize. He then continued his training in Italy and Austria.
Winning the Viotti Competition in 1961 marked the beginning of his international career, which has taken him to perform concerts in such iconic venues as Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Imperial Chapel in St. Petersburg, the Palace of Versailles, the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, the Kunsthistoriches Museum in Vienna, and the Library of Congress in Washington.
A specialist in Spanish Renaissance and Baroque music, he has promoted the restoration of historic organs and made recordings of Spanish musicians, particularly Antonio de Cabezón, whose complete works he has performed and recorded.
He is an honorary member of the Bach-Riemenschneider Institute, the Spanish Society of Music Therapy, and the European Piano Teachers Association. He is also honorary president of the Hispanic Society of Baroque Music. He has received numerous awards, including the Adelfa National Prize, the Castilla y León Prize for the Arts, and the Racimo de la Música Prize. Aranda de Duero named him its favorite son, and the local music school bears his name.

ALBERTO GONZÁLEZ LAPUENTE
Alberto González Lapuente is the activities coordinator for the Guerrero Foundation and music critic for the ABC newspaper, as well as a regular contributor to its cultural supplement. He works at Radio Clásica (RNE), where he is currently responsible for the programs "Música de España" and "En otros lugares." He has been head of promotion for the Spanish National Orchestra and Choirs and has collaborated with the SGAE's publishing department. He is the author of Diccionario de la música (Alianza Editorial, 2003) and has coordinated the volume on music in Spain in the 20th century for the collection Historia de la música en España e Hispanoamérica (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2013).
Javier Burrieza
Javier Burrieza (Valladolid, 1974) holds a PhD in History from the University of Valladolid and currently works in the Ramón y Cajal research program, where he conducts research and teaches. Previously, he worked at the University of Alicante and the CSIC. He has also directed a research project focused on female spirituality in the 16th to 18th centuries, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. He contributes to the newspaper El Norte de Castillaand his numerous publications include books and articles on the history of the Church and religious orders, particularly the Society of Jesus and English schools and seminaries in Castile.
Aurelio Sagaset
Aurelio Sagaseta (Ituren, 1935) is choirmaster at Pamplona Cathedral and a specialist in religious and ecclesiastical music. Ordained as a priest in 1960, he studied in Rome, where he premiered his work Natale Vasco (1968) and graduated from the Pontifical Institute in Sacred Music (1970), Gregorian Chant (1970), and Musicology (1970). In 1971, he began working as a professor of composition at the Pablo Sarasate Conservatory of Music in Navarre, and in 1985, he was appointed to the chair. He was also director of the center between 1986 and 1988. He is currently president of the Spanish Association of Ecclesiastical Musicologists, Corresponding Academician of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and director of choir and orchestra concerts. He is the author of several works, including Órganos de Navarra (Organs of Navarra), with I. Taberna; El Himno de Navarra(The Anthem of Navarra), with M. Puy Huici and J.J. Martinena; and several entries in the Gran Enciclopedia de Navarra (Great Encyclopedia of Navarra ) and the Diccionario Hispano-Americano de la Música (Hispanic-American Dictionary of Music).
