Music in exhibition halls. Sound maps

On March 11 and 12, short musical readings will take place in the museum's exhibition rooms. Music by Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach will accompany visitors as they view the exhibits.

Timeless sound works that allow us to create an auditory map, an itinerary of sound events that run through the interior of the museum, converging with other artistic disciplines and thus becoming a multidisciplinary interactive map.

TheEnsemble Garaikideak will perform short musical pieces in the museum's exhibition rooms, offering a musical journey ranging from Baroque to recently composed works, allowing visitors to experience four different offerings based on different artistic languages.

The program for March 11 includes a repertoire performed by a trio of soprano, flute, and harp. Works by two of the most outstanding musicians in history, Mozart and Beethoven, will share the stage with compositions from the Romantic period (Eva Dell'Acqua), 20th-century music (Héctor Villalobos), and an adaptation of a traditional folk song by Welsh composer Andy Scott. The tour will end with a guitar monograph dedicated entirely to Johann Sebastian Bach.

Daily price: $4.50 (includes admission to exhibitions and access to all sessions throughout the day)

SOUND MAPS. MARCH 12

The saxophone duo's musical offering will transport us from contemporary music to the Baroque era through the works of François Rossé, Paul Hindemith, and Jean-Marie Leclair. Next, the oboe, saxophone, and cello trio will perform works by Louis Couperin, George Pleiffer, and Yolanda Campos Bergua. The program includes a world premiere composed expressly for these encounters by virtuoso cellist and composer David Johnstone.

In the afternoon, to conclude the cycle, you can listen to the entire journey of the four musical proposals once again. It's time to venture into new territories, it's time to create new sound maps.
