Coda in Motion. February 11
Second session of Coda en Movimiento, the dance cycle of the University of Navarra Museum, curated by Roger Salas.
Dubstep dancer Marquese Scott will open the second session with a performance in the theaters. Next, Roger Salas will present the film "The Red Shoes, " a 1948 film written, directed, and produced by The Archers, a team formed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The session will close with the screening of the feature film "The Red Shoes."

ROGER SALAS
Born in Holguín (Cuba) in 1950, he has been the dance and ballet critic for the newspaper El País for 28 years. As a critic and chronicler, he has been an enlightened witness to the most important events in the field worldwide, awarded and recognized by the ballet profession in the most demanding performance forums, from the Venice Biennale to the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg and La Scala in Milan. His lectures have reached the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
In addition to giving lectures in different parts of the world, he is the author of numerous books and articles on dance and ballet.
MARQUESE SCOTT
Dance Performerborn in 1981 in Englewood, California, dancesdubstep, a type of music that originated in London. His choreography incorporates elements of reverse movement,pupping,and tutting.
Marquese plays with these elements and creates his own transitions, which are translated into a performance that is recorded on video, forming an additional audiovisual piece. The locations are chosen uniquely, with the backgrounds carefully selected.
He has performed in numerous countries, including Singapore, Germany, France, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and China.
THE RED SHOES
The Red Shoes is a 1948 British feature film about ballet, written, directed, and produced by The Archers, a team formed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
The film tells the story of an evil shoe salesman who gives a pair of red shoes to a girl, who cannot stop dancing. Her long and exhausting dance ends in death, but not before the salesman recovers the shoes to give them to some other unfortunate soul.
Winner of the Oscar for Best Art Direction and Music, it was nominated for Best Picture, Screenplay, and Editing.
