A journey, through contemporary and urban choreographic language, into the universe of artist Jorge Oteiza.

The dance takes us to scenes inspired by Jorge Oteiza's essay Quosque tandem! Itsaso A. Cano chooses various aspects of his work, his philosophy, and his reflections to sculpt a journey into the artist's universe, Basque constructivism, and the author's 1963 essay.

Concepts such as negative aesthetics, the creative process in the solitude of art and its emptiness, and reflections on the Neolithic cromlech as a divine place are brought to the contemporary scene. A. Cano's proposal offers a disordered reading similar to that of Oteiza in his essay, replicating crossings-out and marginal notes and immersing the viewer in the conceptual investigation of the manuscript.

ITSASO A.CANO
Graduated from the María de Ávila Conservatory of Dance, specializing in contemporary choreography. Her sensitivity to body language and different forms of expression led her to train in techniques such as Graham N.Y., Butoh dance in Japan, and the mystical dances of Gurdjieff and Sufi whirling, among others. Her choreographic work is characterized by the union of different performing arts, music, lighting, and audiovisual creation.

Since 1999, he has worked for various companies on the national scene and, in 2008, he began staging his first solo pieces, until in 2013 he presented his first large-format work, ZUK, which won awards at the Carlos III University choreography competition and the Madrid Young Creators Competition. His most notable shows include HALKA (2014), VACA (2015), and MATERIA (2018). His works have toured Spain, Europe, America, and Asia, winning numerous awards.

In recent years, she has combined her work as a choreographer with artistic consulting and the organization of various festivals with the aim of introducing contemporary and urban dance to new audiences through events such as ColiseoBreaking, A Ras de Suelo, Battle of the Year, Ribera en Danza, Canal Street Battle, etc. She is currently working on the 5th edition of the Ribera en Danza festival.
