MOVING PERFORMANCE
I never imagined that this piece, made up of atmospheres, silences, and vague premonitions, could materialize, much less in such an eloquent and moving way as in this production by Jesús Salgado, in which two extraordinary and admired performers shine: Marta Belaustegui and Manuel Galiana. It is difficult to express such amazement and gratitude.

A journey between realism and fantasy. Two people meet at a stone picnic area on the banks of a reservoir. He is a surly fisherman. She is a mysterious woman who shuns silence. A confusing relationship unfolds through humor, fear, differences, and also what unites them: a rejection of reality. The search for peace, innocence, and understanding. Nostalgia del agua is a show that brings together different disciplines, where the symbiosis of words, magic, and shadows creates a dreamlike atmosphere of mystery. Enigmas. The play is an ode to dignity and the rejection of reality as the only possible means of protection. Ultimately, it is a story about life. A commitment to stripped-down theater and intimate realism. |
