The artist will present his photographs of the Mennonites of Paraguay, a religious group following the 16th-century Dutch reformer Mennon, in color for the first time. Bergasa became interested in photography in the early 1970s in Navarre and Madrid. In 1983, he began traveling to Latin America, where he produced several photographic reports. His series on the Mennonites portrays the austere lifestyle of this community, which has remained unchanged for 23 years and eschews the comforts of the 21st century.
