Going from emptiness to a form without dimensions, changing (place, world). The passage and the path are the starting point for several characters who act and interact in decision-making.

Dalet is a letter of the Hebrew alphabet that refers to a door. A door without a lintel that allows one to go through, to pass through, to transit. A journey from emptiness to form without dimensions. Dalet speaks of a journey through the desert, of necessary steps that are taken countless times on the path of evolution.

This symbol, this energy that allows us to change places, is the driving force behind a creation for six dancers and two musicians. The starting point from which several characters begin to make decisions. Figures who, supported by the group, give meaning to a landscape full of symbols related to nature, its conquest, and reinterpretation.

The humility of throwing ourselves to the ground and waiting for the grass to grow on our skin is a recurring image that accompanied the entire process. The surrender of water to its course. And dancing. Dancing knowing that it is the ground that moves and we only react to it through the air.

The work moves from a sustained focus on gesture and dance to a place of reverie and magical representation.

DANIEL ABREU COMPANY
Founded in 2004, the Daniel Abreu Company is a leading dance company on the Spanish national scene. Daniel Abreu's choreographic work is defined by the use of simple interpretive language tools, the strength and personality of the performers, evocative landscapes that give rise to powerful, dreamlike images, and a sensitive soundscape. The highly poetic narrative, a prominent feature in each work, underpins every creation premiered, whether solo or group.

The company's team is made up of dancers with a great vocation for physical vocabulary and communication through the body. To date, they have premiered more than sixty works. They tour regularly throughout Europe, America, and Asia.
