Covers. Nou Ensemble

Based on the premise of revisiting and reinterpreting our musical history, both classical and popular, Nou Ensemble offers a journey through works and songs from the universal repertoire as seen through the eyes of six contemporary composers with contrasting styles and aesthetics.

Prices: €16 and €14

Literally, the English term "cover" means "cover," "front cover," or "lid." During the second half of the 20th century, it came to be used to refer to versions of songs previously recorded by other musicians.

In this program, Nou Ensemble presents works by Alberto Bernal on Billie Holiday; Carolyn Cheng on Anton Bruckner; Jessie Marino on Boyz II Men; and Germán Alonso on Nirvana. They will also perform a premiere by Román González on Deep Purple and a piece by Raquel García on the music of the indigenous peoples of Oceania.
