Isadora Stations. Beatriz Argüello and Hugo Pérez de la Pica

Estaciones de Isadora is a poetic journey through love and death, inspired by the dancer Isadora Duncan, a pioneer of modern dance. A theatrical piece in which words, dance, and poetry go hand in hand.

A journey of death and resurrection, of pain and hope, the journey of a woman in a state of constant searching.

General admission: €16.

The discount for Friends of the Museum, Youth Card holders, university students, large families, groups of 10 or more people, and University of Navarra employees will be applied to General Admission prices.

The Youth Section (50% discount) is only available at the box office.

THE SHOW

Beatriz Argüello's idea was to compose a score about the life and art of Isadora Duncan in which words, dance, and music would go hand in hand, something far removed from a biographical production. To this end, she asked Hugo Pérez de la Pica to write a poetic text.

The poetry present in the words, dance, and music make this work a journey of death and resurrection, of pain and hope. The audience will encounter a woman in a state of constant searching.

THE AUTHORS

Hugo Pérez de la Pica is a multifaceted and tireless creator as a poet, director, set designer, costume designer, visual artist, and playwright. After studying Hispanic Philology at the Complutense University and pursuing studies in photography and film, he traveled throughout the country in search of sources of traditional music, dance, and costumes. In 1999, he began his theatrical production and in 2003, he founded the Teatro Tribueñe in Madrid with Irina Kouberskaya. In 2012, both received the 2012 Ojo Crítico Theater Award from Radio Nacional de España for "their commitment to a special way of conceiving and materializing theater, while researching new theatrical languages, alternating established texts with those of undiscovered authors."

Beatriz Argüello studied acting at Ángel Gutiérrez's School of Dramatic Arts and with José Luis Gómez at the Teatro de La Abadía, forming part of the first class of actors at this institution. She trained in classical and contemporary dance at the Royal Conservatory of El Escorial and has been a dancer with the Alabama Dance Theatre company in the United States. The actress has experience in more than twenty productions with various companies, working with directors such as Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente, José Pascual, José Luis Gómez, Eduardo Vasco, Gerardo Vera, Carlos Marchena, and Götz Loepelmann, among others. She has also worked in film and television.
