Aimed at families with children aged 4 and above.

Gesto is an interactive installation for two dancers and young audiences. Movement, light, sound, music, and visual art combine in a dynamic environment.

The dancers guide and encourage the audience to enter a world where their movements generate and transform the visual and soundscape around them. Each step and gesture acts as a catalyst, causing visual distortions on the projection floor and triggering random sound compositions, making each interaction unique and unrepeatable.

This new project by Taiat Dansa is the result of a collaborative effort between its directors and choreographers, Meritxell Barberá and Inma García, together with Italian designer and digital and interactive artist Anna Guglietti, musician David Barberá, and dancers Yéssica Castellón and Boris Orihuela.

MERITXELL BARBERA & INMA GARCÍA
With degrees in Classical and Contemporary Dance from the city of Valencia, they founded their own company, Taiat Dansa, in 2003. Since then, they have presented their creations in various prestigious venues and festivals throughout Spain and internationally. They also participate as guest choreographers for other companies.

Both creators approach dance within the parameters of art and reflect on its history and evolution, which differs from that of other arts. In most of their works, they approach dance by altering its structures and techniques, seeking distortion and renewal. This exploration is always carried out with attention to the immediate present, in constant dialogue with the ideological, social, and cultural context surrounding art.

CELIA SANDOYA

Celia Sandoya is a dancer born in Madrid and based in Valencia. Trained at the Carmen Amaya Conservatory (Madrid), she has worked with companies such as the Ballet de Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana, IT Dansa (Barcelona), and Ballet Theatre Basel (Switzerland), with whom she has toured numerous European countries performing pieces by Sharon Eyal, Ohad Naharin, Jirí Kylián, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and Akram Khan, among others. She currently works as a freelancer, combining performance with choreographic assistance in various projects. She is currently a regular dancer with the Taiat Dansa company.

NATALIA GARCÍA

Graduated from the Professional Dance Conservatory of Valencia. In 2014, she joined the Cannes Jeune Ballet in France. In 2016, she joined the young company IT DANSA in Barcelona under the artistic direction of Catherine Allard, where she danced for choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Akram Khan, Alexander Ekman, and Jirï Kylian, among others. In 2018, she joined the Hessisches Staatsballett company under the direction of Tim Plegge and Bruno Heynderickx in Germany, where she participated in the director's creations and also danced for choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Eduard Clug, and Sita Ostheimer, among others. In 2022, she returned to Spain and began her professional career as an actress, voice actress, and freelance dancer.
